Melody Creek Cabin - Secluded Creekside Cabin

Probably the most challenging cabin we have stayed at to find but you are rewarded with isolation & nature. Very clean easy set up & check in on line. This cabin was far away from any busy road traffic just you & nature. Would've loved to stay longer!!!!

My wife and I live in Florida and at least once a year we make a trip up to Northern Georgia to stay in a cabin in the mountains (this is our second time booking with Southern). After much deliberation about our cabin choice, we decided to take a last minute trip to go experience the cold weather and booked our stay for three nights in Melody Creek. This cabin was the perfect choice! Perfect! We loved how secluded and cozy it was. The kitchen and bathroom were seemingly updated, had great, new appliances and the look and feel was updated/modern which we loved. Kitchen had everything you could need, except we did miss having a cheese grater but that's being nick-picky. The gas burning fireplace and the cozy smaller living room were perfect, where we spent a lot of time relaxing. Continuing with the theme of what we loved....loved the wrap around balcony, several different places you could relax as long as you were bundled up given the weather. Loved the hot tub, was perfect, so relaxing, got up to 104 and was conveniently right outside the door. Loved the feeling like you were up in the trees! The only issue we really had was the bed in the larger bedroom. It was definitely the hardest bed either one of us have ever slept on. We would strongly encourage the owner to upgrade it. Doesn't need to be something luxurious, just something we can sleep on. We had to move to the smaller bed in the smaller bedroom to be able to sleep. We loved the cabin so much, we never left until we had to check out, which we've never done before. Had enough food to last us our stay. We did a little hiking, the path down to the creek was great, nice place to and listen to the water. We enjoyed not really having anyone else nearby. Closest cabin was far below us and a couple others you could see their roofs off in the distance. Nice to have a national forest in our backyard with hiking trails very close by. I will say the drive was little "different" and the directions still need improving. It turns into a one way dirt/gravel, rocky road with lots of large potholes and then there's the creek crossing. We were both stressed about this but once we got to it and went over it, it was fine. We have a newer Hyundai Tucson and it did great. Granted the water was a little high but we made it with no problem. I would encourage anyone renting this to get there during the day. You won't have cell phone signal but the wi-fi is super strong and fast! We turned on our wi-fi calling feature on our phones to be able to make calls. Plenty of streaming services on the TVs. Nicely appointed interior decorating. All around such a wonderful experience. We loved it so much we are already planning our return!!

This cabin was in a beautiful location. Very secluded and way off the beaten path. We lived that about the cabin and would’ve to stay again. The cabin was well equipped, comfy beds, clean hot tub and great outdoor space.

Our ac wasn’t working the first two days but otherwise everything was perfect. A bit hard to get to if you don’t have the proper vehicle.

Cabin is very nice and the rental process was fairly easy. Would recommend it because it is the perfect small place to get away, not too large and nice location. With only one neighbor close by the location was the best part. The creek access is very nice; next best thing to being located next to it.

I definitely go back to this cabin in the near future again, this was my first experience with the Southern Comfort Cabin Rental and I had an amazing time. Very upscale and functional, comfortable and neat cabin with an awesome creek view to enjoy and relax.

The hot tub was my favorite since we were able to enjoy the view while staying warm. If someone I know makes a trip to cherry log I will definitely recommend this company
