Once In A Blue Ridge - Mountain View Cabin with Hot Tub

Cabin was absolutely lovely and had everything we needed. Convenient to everything but felt very private as well. The house was lovely and as an interior designer, I really loved that it had nice features: not just a wide-open space, but ceiling height variations and interest made each space feel unique. Finishes we're high quality as were appliances (Kenmore and Whirlpool) Lists of cabins don't have adequate "staples" such as spices, condiments, etc., so we took some extras. Turned out we didn't need anything extra. Well stocked spices and basics.

Each time we have stayed at a Southern comfort home. We have always thought that that one was the best. Well let me tell you this house had absolutely every single thing one needed very comfortable And the kitchen was very stocked. We go to Blue Ridge several times a year we love the weather and just to get away for some peace and quiet. We have been renting with Southern Comfort for about seven years. I believe maybe a little more maybe a little less and it’s always a smooth transaction.

The staff was very helpful when we had to change cabins due to storm damage. Communication with the office was sometimes troubling. The cabin had great accommodations for the seven adults staying for the weekend. The views from the decks were amazing. I delt with Kim when she notified me of the storm damage to the cabin we had originally rented. She was very helpful in locating another cabin that would meet our needs.

We love renting from Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals. They are profession, work with me to find the perfect cabin and always check in on us. This cabin is perfect for us because the outside deck is just off the living/dining room. No steps to go up and down. Gives the cabin a very open feel.

Prices are reasonable, office staff are always helpful and courteous, and check out rules are easy. My husband and I stayed in Blue Ridge while looking at property in TN to purchase. My favorite feature of the property is the back deck. It was very comfortable. The master toilet broke the first day we were there and was fixed by the end of the day. Whoever I spoke to was great!

The properties are as described, clean and comfortable, the staff is super friendly and responsive and any questions or issues are handled efficiently. The property was wonderful. Many spaces to enjoy. Kitchen was very well stocked … loved the location and the views. Enjoyed the exterior deck on the main level. The views were great and the seating area was a comfortable place to enjoy time with friends.

Our stay was great! It was cabin life, but hotel amenities. The other places we rented we had to bring bathroom toiletries and strip beds and start laundry before leaving. Here things were provided. I loved that things were well taken care of, and had seasonal decorations, they let you know things were taken care of.

This cabin was perfect for our stay. It had plenty of room for our large group. Beautiful views of the sunrise and sunset. Very well stocked, all we really needed was food and drinks. The cabin was very well furnished and decorated, but not to the point where we had to worry about our little ones breaking something or constantly keeping them out of things. The location is perfect for Blue Ridge, only about 5 minutes from the Mercier Orchards and about 10 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge.

Our family of four (plus our dog!) had a wonderful stay at Once in a Blue Ridge. The cabin was exactly as pictured—often rental photos can be misleading, but not here. It looks just as beautiful in person as it does in the professional photos. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials for cooking (pots, pans, utensils), so just bring your own food and seasonings and you’re good to go. We cooked several meals and had everything we needed. A couple things to know going in: the “grill” is actually a flat-top griddle, so plan accordingly if you were hoping to do traditional grilling. Also, the hot tub cover is a bit of a challenge—it doesn’t have a lift assist like we have at home, so it really takes two adults to get the cover off and on. If you’re alone, you’ll probably only be able to open half of it. Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals was great to work with—lots of clear communication before, during, and after our trip, and they were quick to respond to questions. During our stay we hiked the Fall Branch Falls trail, went tubing on the Toccoa River, spent some fun time at Vertigo Pinball, and enjoyed great meals at Whiskey & Water and Fightingtown Tavern—highly recommend both! We would absolutely stay here again, but next time we’ll bring our AWD SUV. While it’s possible to reach the cabin with a 2WD vehicle, the steep, narrow driveway and sharp turn off Tennis Court Road can get tricky—especially if it’s been raining. AWD or 4x4 just makes the whole arrival and departure smoother and less stressful. Overall, Once in a Blue Ridge is a beautiful, peaceful retreat in a great location. We made some great memories here and would gladly return!
