Sassafras Lodge - Pet Friendly Cabin Mineral Bluff

Could use extra rolls of tissue in bathrooms. Could not use soaking tub in master bath. Everything else was outstanding!

We had the best time staying at this cabin in Blue Ridge! The accommodations were amazing and comfortably fit our group of 6 adults, 2 teens, and 3 dogs. The outdoor space was a huge highlight—perfect for relaxing, letting the dogs roam, and giving our teens plenty of room to enjoy themselves. It truly worked well for all ages. Spending Christmas here was absolutely magical. We loved gathering together to play games, relax, and enjoy quality time in such a cozy setting. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking utensils we needed, which made preparing our holiday meals easy and enjoyable. We did have a small issue with the water, but it was fixed promptly the very same day—even on Christmas Eve—which we greatly appreciated. The quick response made us feel well taken care of. This cabin was the perfect place to make special holiday memories, and we would absolutely stay here again.

This property is top notch. The house is beautiful, and provided everything you could possibly need for your stay. Firepit, spa and grills make the outdoor space just as perfect as the inside. Gameroom was an added bonus. The front and side yards are wonderfully landscaped and the grass was so soft and comfortable, we would sit outside on a blanket to take in the fresh air. Would definitely stay here again.

Really nice cabin with beautiful amenities like the outdoor fireplace, 4 beds, movie seating in basement. We had an awesome relaxing time and enjoyed our long 10 day vacation. We spent valuable family and alone time together. We loved that it was not too high up in the mountains given the snowstorm. We were able to get down off the mountain in our car safely despite the ice.

My family has rented several cabins through Southern Comfort. The only reason we change to different cabins is availability or need for more bedrooms or pet friendly. Each cabin has been unique and enjoyable.

If you are looking for peace and quiet...this is the perfect cabin. The expansive, flat front yard is a great place for your four-legged friends to sniff and romp around. The driveway is ideal for early morning and night walks. Outside you are surrounded by serene noises of nature, the crows cawing, gray squirrels running around in the leaves and the breeze whistling through the trees. We love nature and its solitude, this was the perfect cabin to enjoy that. Each morning and evening we saw a lot of deer and a tom turkey with his family. It was special. The inside was nicely decorated, kitchen was amply stocked, couches were very comfortable. Beds were very comfy, each bedroom had extra pillows and blankets if needed. Our teen, enjoying his last Spring Break, loved the downstairs. The sectional was so relaxing. The game room above the garage was a hit. The deck was so nice, it\'s wide, plenty of comfortable seating all the way around for different views of the property and mountains. Our favorite feature to any cabin we stay in is the outdoor seating, TV, fireplace combo. This one was exceptional. We had beautiful weather and enjoyed many nights eating outside on the table. The fenced in back yard is also a great place for fur babies. This property, while back by itself, is a quick and easy drive to Blue Ridge, Blairsville and McCaysville. The roads to the cabin are wide and well taken care of. The staff at SCCR is the nicest around. Calling direct and booking is a breeze. We are repeat customers for many years and we always look forward to our trips to North Georgia.

Southern Comfort Rentals is a great company with such an easy process and reasonable prices. We traveled to Mineral Bluff Ga with our two goldens and had more than plenty of space at the Sassafras Cabin. The location was perfectly nestled back in the woods, yet convenient to all the great cities around. We will definitely use Southern Comfort again for our vacation needs. Swan Drive-In in Blue Ridge is a fun activity for the whole family! We even took our two goldens. The food is fantastic, and the service is top notch!
