Meet Me At The Creek sits inside an 11k-acre gated community in Talking Rock, GA, with 90% paved roads throughout and community amenities including a 3-foot depth swimming pool and tennis courts. Talking Rock Creek runs through the property, and a public creek access point behind Trout Lodge gives guests a genuine tubing experience on one of North Georgia’s most beloved creeks.
This is a property for guests who want to be away from it all. The closest town for groceries is approximately 25 minutes out, and the community’s size and setting mean you’ll have genuine seclusion without giving up access to the outdoors. Note that GPS directions are unreliable — turn-by-turn directions and the gate code are provided at booking.

Our stay at Meet Me At the Creek in Talking Rock, GA, felt special from the moment we arrived. As guests of the owners for their soft opening, we were among the very first to experience this incredible 3level mountain retreat. Tucked deep in the woods with no visible neighbors, total privacy and the constant, soothing sound of the river running below, it delivered the restful getaway we needed! Walking through the front door, the first thing that takes your breath away is the main room which features floor to ceiling windows that bring the forest right inside. At the center is a massive handcrafted stone fireplace surrounded by cozy seating area--our favorite place to unwind in the evenings. The main floor uses an open concept layout, connecting the living space sea.lessly to the dining and kitchen areas. As someone who likes to cook, I appreciated that it was fully equipped with every utensil and appliance we needed to make delicious meals. We stayed on this floor in the king bedroom suite. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and fitted with plush linens and fluffy pillows which made for restful sleep. The ensuite bathroom felt like a private spa, complete with tub and shower and soft oversized towels. All amenities were included as well in case you forgot something. Upstairs on the next level is another loft bedroom with a king sized bed, closet and unsuited bathroom with a unique shower. From there, you can step out to a small top tier exterior deck for your morning coffee. The basement game room is fantastic which quickly became our favorite go to. The owners built out a massive game/entertainment room loaded with deep comfortable couches, large flat screened TV, music system, a wet bar area where we could keep drinks and snacks right at hand. Also a full sized ping pong g table alo g with many puzzles and board games that kept us entertained for hours. Every morning, we took our coffee out to the deck to watch the sun come up over the mountain treetops. The absolute highlight of our stay was wat hing the resident bald eagle make its daily visits---it flies down to the river below right in front of the cabin in the morning and late afternoon to catch breakfast and dinner! You can also take a short walking path to the ri er for a closer look. It was hard to pull away from the porch, but the cabins location makes local day trips easy as downtown Elijay is a short distance away, as well as B.J.Reece Orchards where you can sample hard ciders made right at the orchard. There are many small local shops that sell homemade goods and crafts. We couldn't be more grateful to the owners for having us as soft-opening guests. Meet Me At the Creek is a truly special sanctuary, and we can't wait to see future guests fall in love with it just as we did.
