Feather Ridge - Dog-Friendly Mountain Cabin Rental

I wholeheartedly recommend Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals to anyone seeking an exceptional experience. From booking to check-out, their customer service was truly outstanding. The Feather Ridge Cabin was immaculate—spotlessly clean and thoughtfully organized. Our Scottish Terrier adored the wrap-around porch, and the attached gates helped to ensure her safety. The fire pit made for perfect evenings under the stars. The only suggestion I’d make is to provide a few fire starters or some paper to help get the fire pit going.

Simple booking and, the detailed updates provided all the information from arrival to departure. Great location and only a short drive to downtown. When you think of rest and relaxation - this cabin is where you should go. It had a beautiful view of the mountains as well as comfortable beds, a well-stocked kitchen and the owners even left gifts. The lighting could have been a little brighter over the stove. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the young lady’s name, but we arrived an hour earlier, and she was so helpful and allowed us to enter earlier. It really made a difference.

The amenities were very nice. Because it was a rainy weekend. We especially enjoyed the pool table and the poker table and a hot tub and being able to stream music through the TV. It was comfortable and well appointed. We brought our crockpot from home and perhaps if we had known it was there we wouldn’t have needed to. If you do have that listed on the details, I may have missed that as well. We struggle to find storage for our own kitchen supplies and used space in the laundry room for the extra things we brought.

The Feather Ridge cabin was wonderful during our weeklong visit. From the moment we stepped inside, it felt like home! The decor was very nicely done, representing the current fall season! Well built and decorated. We enjoyed the entire house! Liked the toiletries and kitchen soap, towels etc. I brought this stuff with me but next time I know it will be there! Nice gift too!

We will visit again! The porch was nice. Loved that it had gates so I was comfortable with letting the dog go without fear he would run away.

Feather Ridge was exactly what we were looking for - relaxing and comfortable. The property is well stocked and maintained with nice decor. As a pet friendly property, our service dog in training was able to join us. For the first time in more than four years we had a full week, relaxing vacation. We did not want to go home

The box gift received from the owners upon our arrival was a very nice surprise. The views from both outside porches, especially the one on the second floor was amazing.

All the staff are always friendly, extremely knowledgeable about each home and the location of each Cabin. The cabin was perfect for a family, from the amenities to the sleeping arrangements. Just perfect. The basement where the game room was was fantastic! We come to Blue Ridge 2 times a year, eventually to purchase and rent our own cabin with you all.
