Creekside Bend - Fightingtown Creek Cabin

Cabin was beautiful, customer service was excellent, but the cabin needed some cleaning and maintenance. Windows on inside of family room had sticky children’s handprints all over. Window were obviously not cleaned: of 4 lights on patio were out, very dark without them. Cushions on white couch need to be replaced. TV was way too small outside for football party. More comfortable furniture on patio

Online booking was quick and easy. I called the office to ask a couple of questions and every staff member I spoke with very helpful and friendly, gave restaurant recommendations that proved to be excellent choices! Highly recommend using Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals for rentals in this area! We loved the beautiful cabin and location in a secluded area of homes on Fightingtown Creek, yet easy, short drive to downtown Blue Ridge. A very comfortable cabin with nice rustic, mountain decor. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, large back deck with views of the creek below. The guys were able to access the creek for fishing easily, but extending the steps all the way down to the creek for those that cannot handle the steep access quite as well would be helpful. A Keurig coffeemaker would be a nice addition to the kitchen.

I am struggling with my review of this cabin. The cabin itself is beautiful, but the creek is not easily accessible by all due to the steep incline into the water. I don't feel this was shown in pictures or described. This was a key factor in deciding on a vacation home & if we had known this, we would have stayed in a different home. The cabin itself is beautiful & was quite comfortable. However, water accessibility is limited & not disclosed in listing. My 75 yr old mother could not traverse the steep incline that required use of ropes to access the water. And water views from the land are obstructed by landscaping. Very disappointing that we had to travel to public parks so she could get into the river. I loved that there was an air fryer oven. That was very handy! Cabin description says there is a Keurig coffee maker - upon arrival we did not find a Keurig, but 2 drip coffee makers. I called to check in 30 min early to avoid rain & believe it was Holly who helped us access property & avoid the rain storm! I appreciate the quick response times.

This was our second rental this year, both on fighting town creek. The cabin was amazing, well appointed, and comfortable. This is the second cabin we rented this year from Southern Comfort and by far the nicest cabins we've ever stayed at. Very secluded, and all the natural heavy timber wood was beautiful. The water fall shower in the master was amazing.

We have stayed in cabins prior in blue ridge and this cabin was by far the best. We had enough room to enjoy the interior while still spending most of our time on the deck enjoying the sounds from the creek.

I loved everything about this company. Easy to navigate online and then their service was impeccable. CreeksideBend was the most beautiful home located next to the creek which gave us such peace and relaxation to hear the water. Gracie was a huge help, especially when the original home had a maintenance problem and she found us a more beautiful home than I originally reserved!

Cabin was absolutely beautiful, and very clean with all the amenities necessary! Absolutely loved this location and I am looking at my schedule to see when we can revisit. Very peaceful location... the house is absolutely stunning. Loved every minute we were there.

The cabin was well equipped and clean, not too far from town and local attractions. Customer service (Graycee) was excellent, and she even called us on our first morning to check on us. There was a severe storm which left us without power right after our arrival and the manager (sorry I can't remember his name) took my call and assisted with reaching the electrical company. I would definitely recommend staying at Creekside Bend!

The cabin was beautiful with beautiful views. Very nicely furnished. The only complaint I have is the grill almost started a fire because even on the lowest setting, the flames were high. The AC would not turn down past 73 and the oven would not heat up. Overall, very nice place. I would recommend and stay here again.

I've used SCCR exclusively for my annual Blue Ridge stays for at least ten years and have recommended them to other friends. We bought river tubes, so the creek was a blast! And we always love an outdoor wood-burning fireplace. We loved being on the creek, and the outside fireplace area was large and comfortable.
