Blue Ridge Area Horseback Riding

Blue Ridge Area Horseback Riding

Giddy-up for horseback riding, ranches and stables, and up-close animal encounters during your cabin vacation. Go for a gentle guided horseback ride through state parks and national forests, or put your horse through its paces on a trail ride adventure for more experienced equestrians. Horseback riding is a unique way to explore the North Georgia mountains while interacting with majestic animals.

A Step Above Stables

Experience the natural beauty of the North Georgia mountains as you follow a guide on a private horseback riding trip through forest trails with areas overlooking Lake Nottley. Trail rides last one to two hours and are available for all rider levels. Reservations are recommended.

Blanche Manor Ranch

Visiting the Blue Ridge Mountains is not complete without a trip to Blanche Manor, located less than 15 minutes from Blue Ridge in Copperhill, TN. With outstanding animals, first-time riders can go for a leisurely stroll, or the seasoned veteran can saddle up to put their equestrian skills to the test. Ranch staff members are committed to customer satisfaction and safety. Enjoy viewing the rolling mountains as you ride through a shady forest trail, or travel into a snowy winter wonderland.

Double D Equestrian Center

Grab the reins for a horseback trip deep in the forest. Double D is a horseback riding outfitter with a permit from the National Forest Service that allows them to offer guided trail rides in the Chattahoochee National Forest.

Fort Mountain Stables

In Fort Mountain State Park, enjoy more than 25 miles of scenic horse trails in the North Georgia mountains. Visitors can take guided trail rides with the concessionaire from Fort Mountain Stables at Fort Mountain Horse Campground.
